Tour Overview
Six nights combining Giza, the museum, Islamic Cairo, and a full Mediterranean day — no cruise. This itinerary is "Cairo and Alexandria Classic Week". Named stops: Giza and Sphinx, Saqqara or Memphis, Egyptian Museum, Citadel and bazaar.
A first trip that stays in the north: pyramids, collections, old streets, and Alexandria’s harbour, with a buffer evening in Cairo.
The Sphinx sits lower on the sand; it is a different scale from the pyramids and needs its own terrace time. Saqqara is the older experiment: Djoser’s step pyramid, where cut stone architecture begins. The Citadel of Saladin is Islamic high ground: the alabaster mosque of Muhammad Ali and Cairo spread below the walls.
"Cairo and Alexandria Classic Week" is written for 6 Nights / 7 Days. Pickup is from the hotel you name; the first stop is the first site on this page, not a coach timetable.
Private means your party only. Empty seats are not filled with strangers, and shops not named on this page are not added at the gate.
