Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you ask Journey in Egypt for a private outline. We are a licensed Egyptian travel company at 171 Mohamed Farid Street, Al-Fawwala, Abdeen, Cairo, Egypt, established in 1995. This website does not take payment. Sending a form is not a booking until the Cairo office confirms the plan in writing.
Quotes
Prices on tour pages are starting figures in US dollars per person unless a page says otherwise. Museum tickets, holiday dates, cabin class, and the number of people in the car can change the final quote. A quote is valid for the dates we write, not as an open web price.
How a trip is confirmed
You send dates, pace, and who is traveling. We reply with an outline. You confirm that outline in writing with the Downtown desk. Guides, rooms, and Nile cabins are held after that confirmation — not when you click a button on the site.
What is included
Each tour page lists a typical include and exclude list. The written outline for your dates is the one that counts. Pyramid interiors, extra tombs, drinks, and tipping are usually extra unless we name them.
Changes and cancellation
Tell us as soon as dates move. Museum hours, Nile water levels, and port all-aboard times can force a rewrite; we tell you in the same thread. Cancellation terms are stated in the written confirmation for that trip. Unused tickets we cannot return stay outside a refund.
Your responsibilities
Valid passports, visas, and insurance are yours. Name the hotel, ship, or airport on the form so pickup is on time. If a guest needs fewer stairs or a different language, say so before we lock the day.
Conduct and safety
Private touring still follows site rules: dress at mosques, no drones where they are banned, and the guide’s timing at the dock. We may refuse a stop that cannot be done safely in the hours you have.
Liability
We plan and host with licensed guides and vehicles. We are not liable for delays outside our control — closed sites, weather on the river, or a late international flight — beyond reworking the hours we still have. Nothing here limits rights you have under Egyptian law.
Photos and reviews
Do not assume a site allows professional shoots. If you send a review we may show a first name and city, not a full address.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The desk that answers is at 171 Mohamed Farid Street, Al-Fawwala, Abdeen, Cairo, Egypt. Email journeyinegypt@gmail.com or call 01030999109.
